Leia Organa had accomplished much at a young age, like her mother: a leader in the Alliance to Restore the Republic, a former member of the Imperial Senate, and a member of the Royal Family of Alderaan. Yet despite her stature, for many years, Leia herself was not aware to much of her true heritage.

 

Most people knew that Princess Leia was adopted into the Royal Family, but they did not know that Anakin Skywalker, who became Darth Vader, was her real father. She was also not aware that she had a brother, who was Luke Skywalker. They were hidden from their father at birth, she went to the Royal Family, and he ended up on Tatooine with the Lars family.
